Brandmember
Collective marketing for small & independent businesses
This unique app in Beta mode has the potential to be many things...
The starting point is a directory for small & independent businesses who can update what they do and support one another.
The app features an AI tool to help with
writing searchable link descriptions so that people can find exactly what they are looking for. Search results are paginated in 3s to give a refreshing take on the search experience which in “big search” is often filled with visual noise.
Over 70% of people want to support small & independent businesses, they just can’t find them. By collectively working to make a space where people can find these businesses, this determined and passionate group of business owners will be able to grow their reach within this community of support.
The big plan is...
- To build a collective marketing space, where every business that is each doing all of the marketing themselves can relax and just do a little, THEY SAVE TIME.
- To create a Web3 / Blockchain system that rewards the best creators in each niche as each business retains ownership of their content, EVERYONE BENEFITS.
- Save businesses from the many fees they face to get their individual marketing off the ground, THEY SAVE MONEY. And pool some of this money into the advertising of Brandmember as a whole.
ToolPool
The local community project that makes use of idle tools.
This is my winning entry to the OpenFormat Hackathon 2024, and it is full of potential...
The focus is on a system which allows people to share their tools based on their comfort level and allows people to borrow tools based on their knowledge and experience level.
Through a series of quizzes users
learn and understand more about the tools on offer, whilst displaying their competence to those that share them. Features include a question board where advice can be sought and community heroes can share their knowledge.
DIY trends are on the rise and although community spirit is strong, we need spaces where people can ask for specific types of help, such as to borrow a tool. This way we can put an end to the wasted potential of single use tools and help each other improve.
The big plan is...
- To create a Web3 / Blockchain system that rewards the generosity of sharers and the careful use of borrowers, to build a platform of trust, THE COMMUNITY GROWS.
- To develop partnerships within the tool industry so that the top scorers on the platform can benefit from real world prizes, THE REWARDS ARE REAL.
- To gather awareness in local communities and with governing officials to demonstrate the benefits of such projects and gain further support at a local level, IT BECOMES MAINSTREAM.
Weighger
The friendly bet on weight loss competition
The idea is simple and born from a personal desire. Encourage men who wouldn’t typically interact with a weight loss app, to place a small financial incentive stake on the outcome.
This was my entry for the Discover NoCode Hackathon. With the added magic of OpenFormat Web3 rewards and leaderboards to keep users entertained.
The Hack took place over 5 days, of which only about 3 were spent building, and I'll be honest there was far more to do regarding the weight and height data than I had bargained for, so the plan to develop a saleable product in this time fell somewhat short.
The idea will probably stay just that
- As with anything an idea can only get off the ground with promotion and support and I can’t afford the time and cost of promoting every idea I have. So to be honest this will likely stay in the idea phase, but it was fun while it lasted.
- You can still show your support by adding your name to the list below, just so I can keep people up to date if we actually make it. If not it will be deleted after a year.

Proud to be a TOP prompt engineer
I started creating image prompts in 2022 and they look quite dated now because AI has moved on so much, not like these guys you see here though.
They are designed to look old! The best part is PromptBase just launched apps, so you can use the app I have created to create your own characters like this, just enter the object word, for the characters body, simple!

The complete takeaway order assistant
This was my entry for the 2024 Bubble.io Hackathon for showcasing the power of AI within web apps. So I opted for a personalised assistant.
The idea began as I wanted to show the strengths of AI and personalisation via added context is an exciting way to do that.
The Hack took place over 3 days, although due
to my existing work commitments, the build was
in reality more like 16 hours of work! There are 4
AI agents that work together, one for general chat and takeaway lookup, one for specific menu chat where an image can be uploaded and discussed, one for recipe creation so people can recreate their takeaways at home and one specificlally for finding the best offers.
What Next?
- I’m always open to taking any of the competition pieces I create further, but like anything they won’t see the light of day without significant promotion. If it happens that you like this idea, as always show support by adding your name to list below, it is like a voting method whereby I can keep you updated if it takes off. If not it will all be deleted within a year.
- The marketing potential for this idea is huge. If you are a takeaway business or marketplace, come and speak to me about how I can help you create something that will delight your clients.
- Once judging has been completed on this I should be able to open it up for anyone that wishes to test it. The winners are being announced at BubbleCon which is on the 1st and 2nd October, so wish me luck!
